HDFC Capital Advisors, the real estate private equity arm of HDFC Group, has joined forces with Curated Living Solutions (CLS) to launch a rental housing platform with an investment of ₹1,000 crore in India.
This initiative will concentrate on creating, owning, and managing institutional-quality rental housing properties to address the rising need for structured rental accommodations in key urban areas.
The alliance aims to leverage long-term urban growth and demographic shifts, including an increasingly mobile workforce, student populations, and changing lifestyle choices.
Additionally, it strives to advance India’s rental housing sector toward professionally managed, institution-led frameworks.
CLS contributes significant expertise in developing and operating co-living spaces, student housing, and worker accommodations, currently overseeing more than 13,000 beds nationwide.
Vipul Roongta, CEO of HDFC Capital, remarked, “India’s urban rental market is approaching a critical juncture, driven by a dynamic, young population. Quality rental housing is vital for enabling mobility among students, emerging professionals, and migrant workers.”
