ICICI Lombard General Insurance initiates internal inquiry into leaked Q3FY26 results
2 min readICICI Lombard General Insurance Company announced on Saturday that it has launched an internal investigation after a company representative unintentionally shared unapproved financial data. The incident occurred on January 9, 2026, when draft financial results for the quarter and nine-month period ending December 31, 2025, were temporarily posted to a personal WhatsApp Status at approximately 5:44 p.m.
The insurer confirmed in a regulatory filing that the investigation will follow established guidelines under SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015, alongside the company’s internal Insider Trading Code and related policies.
Results of the inquiry will be formally disclosed to stock exchanges once completed, according to the company’s statement.
“The employee removed the WhatsApp Status within an hour of posting,” the filing noted, emphasizing that the shared figures were preliminary, unaudited, and subject to change during ongoing reviews. The company chose to proactively disclose the incident to stock exchanges as a precautionary measure to uphold transparency standards.
Investors were advised to disregard the prematurely shared information and await finalized results approved by the Board of Directors through official channels.
