Manappuram Finance Ltd posted a staggering 341.4% YoY increase in consolidated net profit after tax, reaching ₹585 crore, up from ₹132 crore in the same quarter last year.
During the period, total assets under management rose 57.2% to ₹69,635 crore. The gold‑loan book alone hit ₹57,006 crore in the June quarter, marking a 97.9% YoY jump.
Non‑gold lending activities contributed 18.14% of the overall AUM. Asirvad Microfinance, a subsidiary, recorded a profit of ₹21 crore for the quarter.
Operating income climbed 34.1% YoY to ₹3,033 crore, versus ₹2,262 crore a year earlier (Q1 FY26). Net interest income amounted to ₹1,759 crore in Q1 FY27, up 25% from ₹1,407 crore in Q1 FY26.
VP Nandakumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Manappuram Finance Ltd, commented: “Fluctuating gold prices posed a serious challenge to market sentiment. Nevertheless, the company achieved strong growth this quarter thanks to operational efficiencies, cost cuts, digital initiatives and entry into new geographies. Besides the core gold‑loan business, all subsidiaries — including Asirvad Microfinance — are financially sound, and we anticipate improved performance as the broader economic climate steadies in the coming months.”
