Fintech firm PayU Payments reported a narrower consolidated loss of ₹248 crore in FY25, compared with a loss of ₹429.51 crore a year earlier, according to regulatory filings accessed by Tofler.

PayU Payments significantly reduced its consolidated losses to ₹248 crore during FY2024-25, down from ₹429.51 crore in the previous fiscal year. This financial update surfaced through regulatory documents analyzed by the market intelligence platform Tofler.

Revenue figures showed robust growth with consolidated operations revenue climbing 23% year-on-year to ₹5,562.98 crore in FY25, up from ₹4,527.39 crore recorded in FY24.

Standalone financials revealed a contrasting trend, with the payment firm’s losses widening sharply to ₹3,567.8 crore in FY25 compared to ₹273 crore in the preceding year. Tofler highlighted that PayU functions as an investment entity, registering standalone revenues of ₹3,972 crore—a 16% annual increase—alongside these expanded losses.

Operating costs demonstrated efficiency improvements, with employee benefit expenses declining 6.4% year-over-year to ₹667.62 crore during the fiscal year.
