Sundaram Home Finance hikes interest rates for fixed deposits

As of 31 March 2026, Sundaram Home Finance reported a deposit base of ₹2,295 crore.

Effective August 1, Sundaram Home Finance – a wholly owned subsidiary of Sundaram Finance – raised the interest rates on its 3‑, 4‑ and 5‑year deposits.

For the regular segment, rates were lifted by 0.25 percentage points to 7.25 % for three‑year deposits and to 7.40 % for four‑ and five‑year deposits.

Senior‑citizen depositors saw their rates rise by 25 basis points to 7.75 % across the three, four and five‑year tenures.

Trust accounts also received a 25‑basis‑point increase, bringing rates to 7.50 % for the same tenures.

“Deposits remain a key funding source, making up roughly one‑quarter of our total funding. We continue to appreciate the confidence shown by our depositors, whose numbers have surpassed 15,000 and enjoy a renewal rate above 75 %,” remarked D Lakshminarayanan, Managing Director of Sundaram Home Finance.

Sundaram Home Finance’s deposit base amounted to ₹2,295 crore on 31 March 2026.
