ZebPay partners with KoinX to simplify crypto tax reporting for users
2 min readZebPay, a cryptocurrency exchange, announced a partnership on Thursday with KoinX, a crypto tax platform, aimed at easing tax compliance for investors.
Through the ZebPay app, users can now launch KoinX directly to create cryptocurrency tax reports, cutting down the manual work required for tax reporting and compliance. This eliminates the need to download transaction logs, upload separate files, or reconcile trades across different platforms. Moreover, KoinX’s integrations with other exchanges make it easier for investors who trade on several Indian crypto exchanges.
“With crypto adoption growing in India, making tax reporting simpler has become crucial for investors. Our collaboration with KoinX enables users to handle tax compliance more smoothly by lowering the complexity and manual work usually tied to crypto tax filing,” remarked Raj Karkara, COO of ZebPay.
Likewise, Punit Agarwal, Founder of KoinX, stated, “By automatically pulling transaction data and simplifying the reporting workflow, we seek to make crypto tax compliance far more accessible and efficient for users.”
Recently, India’s government tightened tax‑reporting rules for digital assets. Under the Income‑tax Act, 2025, a new penalty was introduced: ₹200 per day for each day a required statement is not filed, and ₹50,000 for submitting inaccurate information in a crypto‑asset transaction statement. Effective April 1 of this year, the rule aims to compel reporting entities to comply, as officials noted earlier this year.
