Aloe Ecell Battery Innovation

Aloe Ecell, an eco-friendly battery manufacturer developing biodegradable energy storage solutions from organic materials, has secured Rs 3.5 crore in seed funding. The company aims to transform India’s lithium-reliant electric vehicle and renewable energy industries by offering cost-effective, sustainable alternatives.

Plant-Powered Batteries Address Electronic Waste Challenges

Founded by clean-energy experts leveraging Aloe Vera gel and farm waste to produce gel-polymer electrolytes, Aloe Ecell’s lithium iron phosphate batteries reduce manufacturing expenses by 20% and eliminate cobalt use. Their patented technology maintains 99% capacity retention over 500+ cycles, providing solar microgrids and two-wheeler solutions for rural communities underserved by expensive imported alternatives.

Funding Accelerates Production Expansion

The investment will support a pilot facility in Gujarat with an annual production target of 1 million units, focusing on solar-powered irrigation systems and electric vehicle fleets for remote regions. Investors anticipate Aloe Ecell tapping into India’s $10 billion battery market, where eco-friendly regulations and import barriers create opportunities. This seed round positions the company to deploy renewable energy storage across 10,000 villages yearly.
