Emerging beverage company CHINI KUM has secured Rs 1 crore in pre-seed financing through a combination of angel investments and founder contributions. The health-focused brand prepares to introduce its line of zero-sugar, low-calorie drinks to Indian consumers.
Prominent investors in this round included Shobhit Gupta of One8 Commune Restaurants, Varun Sachdeva from boAt’s ecommerce division, and Eiti Singhal representing Eiti Ventures, alongside other individual backers.
The newly acquired capital will fuel product development, flavor expansion, and nationwide distribution growth. Part of the investment will specifically enhance digital sales platforms and quick commerce partnerships to improve accessibility.
Established by Priyank Jain, CHINI KUM is initially launching through its dedicated online portal while exclusively partnering with Swiggy Instamart in key metropolitan areas. Initial offerings include carbonated and non-carbonated drinks in mango and lemon variants.
The beverages utilize natural sweeteners including stevia and monk fruit extracts, complemented by prebiotic fiber content. This formulation results in significantly lower calorie counts compared to conventional sugary alternatives in the market.
Positioned at an entry price point of Rs 30 for a 160 ml serving, the company plans phased expansion across major urban centers. Market strategy emphasizes availability through rapid-delivery platforms targeting health-conscious consumers seeking beverage alternatives.
