Octobotics, a robotics company specializing in AI-powered non-destructive testing (NDT), has secured approximately ₹10 crore in seed funding. Navam Capital spearheaded the investment, joined by BYT Capital as participants.
This capital infusion will accelerate technological advancement, enhance real-world testing capabilities, and facilitate global market expansion. Resources will also be allocated toward obtaining industry certifications and scaling operations in India, Singapore, and Middle Eastern markets.
Established in 2020 by co-founders Ishan Bhatnagar and Gulshan Kumar, the company develops robotic inspection systems for critical infrastructure sectors including energy production, petrochemicals, maritime operations, and rail networks. Their technology targets high-risk environments and difficult-to-access inspection points.
Current enterprise clients include the Indian Navy, Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL, HPCL, Aarti Industries, GSFC, and Saudi S-Chem. The firm reported revenues of ₹2 crore during the previous fiscal year.
Octobotics’ product lineup features rail inspection solutions, automated weld assessment platforms, and specialized tools for confined-space evaluations. These innovations replace manual inspection processes while transforming collected data into operational insights for asset management teams.
