Tata Mutual Fund Increases Stake In Cartrade To 5%

Tata Mutual Fund has surpassed the 5% ownership threshold in CarTrade Tech through recent open market acquisitions.

Regulatory filings reveal that Tata Asset Management acquired 90,522 CarTrade shares on January 28, 2026. This transaction boosted Tata’s total stake to 2,399,962 shares, representing 5.0163% of the company.

Prior to the purchase, Tata held 2,309,440 shares equivalent to 4.8271% ownership.

The shares were secured by multiple Tata funds including the Balanced Advantage Fund, Digital India Fund, Consumer Fund, Small Cap Fund, and Value Fund through secondary market transactions.

This investment coincides with CarTrade’s latest quarterly results showing revenue growth to ₹210 crore in Q3 FY26 (up from ₹176 crore in Q3 FY25) and increased net profits reaching ₹61.5 crore.
