ACC Higher Secondary School at Kymore celebrates centenary

National, 30 December, 2023: The ACC Higher Secondary School, Kymore, Madhya Pradesh, commemorated its one hundredth anniversary, marking a century of imparting high quality training and shaping the lives of over 17,000 people. Established in 1923 by C.P. Portland Cement Limited within the village of Kymore, the college has developed through the years, leaving a big mark on the tutorial panorama of Madhya Pradesh.

The centenary celebrations, held at the ACC Gymkhana Cricket floor, have been graced by Dr Priti G. Adani, Chairperson, Adani Foundation. The day-long programme included the screening of a documentary showcasing the college’s journey, adopted by the discharge of souvenirs and cultural performances by the alumni.

Dr. Priti G Adani congratulated workers, college students and alumni of the college on the historic event. She mentioned, “Education is the inspiration of societal progress, and ACC Higher Secondary School’s century-long legacy epitomises the transformative energy of high quality training. As the college marks a milestone of academic excellence, we lengthen our heartfelt gratitude to the devoted educators and the achieved alumni. The Adani Foundation is proud to witness this momentous event. We sit up for contributing to the college’s wealthy legacy and stay dedicated to spearhead the reason for high quality training.”

The journey of ACC Higher Secondary School began in 1923 with simply two school rooms beneath the management of Gauri Shankar Pandey, who served as its first headmaster until 1943. Its legacy was constructed through the years beneath many different leaders, whose tenure noticed vital expansions happening. 2010 noticed the development of amenities for increased secondary college students, together with laboratories, a library, 4 school rooms and bathrooms. Notable achievements by college students in state benefit lists highlighted the college’s dedication to educational excellence. The college is continuous its upward trajectory beneath the management of Sudhanshu Mishra, who assumed the function of principal in 2017.

Reflecting on the completion of 100 years of the college, Sudhanshu Mishra mentioned, “As we attain the unbelievable milestone, gratitude fills my coronary heart. The journey, guided by devoted educators and unwavering neighborhood help, displays the true essence of training. Together, we’ve formed generations. I wish to lengthen my gratitude to Adani Foundation for spearheading the revolution we began within the pre-independence period. The college takes immense pleasure in its distinguished alumni, together with the youngest freedom fighter Mahesh Shrivastava who joined the Quit India Movement at the age of 10; retired Army officer Lieutenant Colonel Tukaram Yadav; Sanjay Mishra, secretary of the Badminton Association of India; Megha Bhatt, who labored on the Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3 tasks; Dr Karuna Verma, scientist and academician who retired as Dean and Executive Councilor at Rani Durgavati University; Anil Kumar Shukla, former Chief Geologist at Coal India Ltd; and playback singer Nandita Nagjyoti.
