JGU Hosts National Seminar in Mumbai Celebrates upGrad Partnership and Global Rankings
2 May, Mumbai, India– O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), in collaboration with ATLAS SkillTech University and skilling major upGrad, hosted a high-levelNational Seminar on the Future of Online Education and Skills Development – Towards Viksit Bharat 2047on 1 May 2025 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
The event brought together leaders from academia, industry, and government to discuss the transformative potential of online education in India’s growth story.
The evening commenced with a welcome address byProfessor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor of JGU, followed by introductory remarks fromDr. Indu Shahani, Founding President & Chancellor, ATLAS SkillTech University.
The Presidential Adress was delivered byMr. Ronnie Screwvala, Co-Founder of upGrad and Swades Foundation, who highlighted the growing need to democratise education and bridge India’s employability gap through scalable digital learning models.
The seminar served as a platform to celebrate JGU’s recent global accolades:
