As a fellow, they will have a significant impact on the future of children, and will be leading the future leaders with love. . The deadline for applying is 1st September, 2024.

    The Teach For India Fellowship is a two-year, full-time paid Fellowship program that brings under one roof fellows from different backgrounds and age groups drawn from over 500 universities, colleges, and 300 companies. The Fellowship application process is very rigid and receives applications from India’s brilliant and most promising individuals.

    The chosen fellows will serve as full-time teachers in affordable private schools or English-medium government schools, where they will focus on guiding students through the challenges of India’s inequities. It will also provide fellows with valuable insights into various aspects of leadership, including emotional skills such as empathy, active listening, and relationship-building, all of which will contribute to their professional development.

    To date, over 670 fellows have joined the 2024 Cohort, united by their shared goal of creating a compassionate and equitable India through education. The fact that differentiates the Teach For India Fellowship is the opportunity to bring about a significant change in the existing education paradigm.

  • Over 7800 Professionals Graduate in BITS Pilani’s Metaverse

    National — August 27, 2024: Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani, an Institute of Eminence (IoE) that is globally renowned for its focus on innovation, hosted a convocation to commemorate the academic achievements of 7,839 working professionals. These professionals graduated in different MBA, M.Tech., M.Sc., and B.Tech. programmes from the institution’s Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) division. While about 1,000 graduates attended the convocation in person, more than 6,800 graduates participated virtually with the help of the revolutionary Metaverse technology; nearly 111 of them graduated from 26 other countries as well.

    During WILP’s second successive hybrid convocation, thousands of graduates had a memorable experience with the near-realistic convocation environment, as their personalized 3D avatars walked across a virtual stage to receive their degrees, thereby demonstrating the seamless fusion of a long-standing tradition and modern technologies. With the integration of 3D modelling and immersive technology, the participants also took virtual tours to explore the campuses of BITS Pilani.

    Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of Executive Committee, National Assessment and Accreditation Council, graced the event as the Chief Guest and congratulated all the graduating students and their proud parents and loved ones. He stressed on the need to deal with successes and failures with a positive attitude, and to leverage knowledge and skills for the betterment of the society.

    Ms. Saskia Loer Hansen, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, International & Engagement, RMIT University, who was the Guest of Honour, spoke about the importance of work-ready skills, preparedness, and life-long learning to contribute in these complex times. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Anupama Bhatnagar, ADG, Dr. Nimish Rustagi, Officers, and IIS Officers Trainees were present at the occasion. The minister distributed certificates to the officer trainees on the successful completion of their 2 years of training.

The event, which brought together some of the brightest young minds from schools across the city, was a resounding success, offering a unique blend of education, competition, and fun.

    Over 344 students from 42 schools participated in the event, which was divided into three categories based on grade levels: Classes 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, and 7th-8th. The competition featured a challenging quiz segment followed by a spell bee, where students were tested on their knowledge and spelling skills in front of a live audience.

    The event kicked off with the quiz competition, where students demonstrated impressive knowledge across a wide range of subjects. The quiz was followed by the spell bee, which saw participants spelling increasingly difficult words. The elimination format kept the audience on the edge of their seats, as contestants were gradually narrowed down to the final winners.

    “This event was not just about competition; it was about encouraging young students to learn and grow in a supportive environment,” said Abhishek Bansal, Executive Director, Pacific Group. “We were thrilled to see the enthusiasm and dedication of all the participants. The event truly highlighted the talent and potential of the students in our community.”

    In the end, 17 students emerged victorious across both the days, each receiving a mega trophy and gift voucher as recognition of their hard work and achievement. Day-1 was dominated by Oak Grove School with 6 students out of the 8 winners clinching the trophies, while Day-2 witnessed promising performance of Doon International School as 6 students of the total 9 winners marked their win. All participants were awarded certificates of participation, acknowledging their efforts and contributions to the event.

    The Pacific Quiz Competition and Spell Bee was a remarkable success, with both students and spectators leaving the mall inspired and entertained. The event not only provided a platform for academic excellence but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among the young participants.

    The workshop commenced with an introductory briefing by Prof. (Dr.) Y.K. Gupta, former Dean and Head of the Department of Pharmacology at AIIMS, New Delhi, highlights the indispensable role of rigorous research in shaping academic careers.
