    KLH Bachupally’s AI and ML Expo Showcases Student Innovations and Industry ExpertiseThe AIML Project Expo at KLH Bachupally campus was a great success, drawing an energetic assembly of students, faculty, and distinguished industry professionals for a day marked by innovation and collaborative spirit. The event was graced by chief guest Sri Shrikant Sinha, Chief Executive Officer of the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), Department of ITE&C, Government of Telangana, and guest of honor Sri Bala Prasad Peddigari, Chief Innovation Officer from TCS Hyderabad. Their presence, along with other eminent professionals and experts, provided substantial encouragement and recognition of the students’ efforts.

    The expo showcased a variety of student-created projects in front of professionals from leading organizations. Noteworthy projects included applications in personalized medicine, fashion technology, and disease classification, illustrating the tangible impact of AI and ML technologies.

    Kesireddy Anvitha Reddy, a participating student, shared her experience: “Presenting our project on personalized medicine was incredibly rewarding. The direct feedback from industry leaders not only affirmed our approach but also provided guidance on refining our innovations.”

    The event was conducted smoothly under the supervision of Dr. L. Koteswarao, Principal of KLH Bachupally, and S. Divya, the AIML Course Coordinator.   • Smt. Smriti Irani inspires women academicians at IIM Bodh Gaya’s NFLP

    Smt. Smriti Irani Empowers Women Academicians at IIM Bodh Gaya’s NFLPIIM Bodh Gaya successfully organized a 5-day residential Nurturing Future Leadership Program (NFLP) for Women Academic Leaders under the aegis of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme from 11th Nov to 15th Nov 2024. Funded by the Ministry of Education, the program aims to inculcate leadership development in higher educational institutions (HEI). The programme brought together esteemed faculty members from diverse disciplines to delve into the critical aspects of grooming the leaders of tomorrow. The programme saw the participation of 33 senior faculty from around 20 Central/State Universities, IIM, IIT, and NITs, such as IIT Patna, Banaras Hindu University, and the University of Delhi.

    The 5-day event encompassed various sessions on management and leadership. Prof. Vinita S. Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya highlighted the importance of ‘Sakhi-waad’ in higher education. The participants also gained insights on developing leadership and challenges faced by women leaders in academia from Prof Indira Parikh, ex-Director of IIM-Ahmedabad and founding member of Flame University, Prof Sangita Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor, University of Allahabad, and Prof Seema Sharma, IIT-Delhi.

    Former cabinet minister Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, with an experience of over two decades, imparted knowledge on creating an impact through public speaking wherein she stated, ‘You speak as you live, speak as you engage, and speak as you behave.’ In the era of digital transformation, Smt Irani discussed how storytelling across media can be used effectively for developing various skills. The participants got the opportunity to visit Mahabodhi Temple and Nalanda as part of their experiential learning along with institutional members.

    The National Economic Policy 2020 has placed a significant emphasis on the importance of capacity building among educators. NFLP aims to equip faculty members, particularly women, with the essential technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills needed for effective leadership in higher education institutions. The program seeks to bridge the gap and create a more balanced and diverse leadership landscape in Indian higher education. Through this initiative, the Ministry of Education and IIM Bodh Gaya inspire a new generation of women leaders, enabling them to drive change and innovation in the academic world.

  • 1999 (B.Arch. 2000) Batch Establishes a Lasting Legacy through a Generous Contribution

    Roorkee, India – November 16, 2024 — IIT Roorkee experienced a memorable milestone as the Silver Jubilee Reunion for the 1999 (B.Arch. 2000) Batch unfolded from November 15 -17, 2024. The event was filled with nostalgia, camaraderie, and a strong commitment to contributing to the institute’s future.

    Approximately 300 attendees, including alumni and their families, came together to celebrate their bond with the institute. During the reunion, the 1999 (B.Arch. 2000) Batch displayed remarkable dedication by donating approx. 5 CRORE INR towards various initiatives. This is the largest batch donation ever received during a Jubilee Reunion. This generous donation will Support a High-tech Ambulance, Stand at LBS Stadium, 175th Anniversary Gate, Financial aid for needy students, and other impactful projects that will strengthen IIT Roorkee’s legacy.

Karanam Malleswari, legendary Indian Weightlifter and first Indian Women’s Olympic Medal Winner and Shri Murali Sharma, Tollywood Actor; Shri Satyadev, Tollywood Actor; Shri Rahul Ramakrishna, Tollywood Actor; Shri Kanta Rao, IPS, Retd. Inspector General of Police (IG); addressed and inspired the students on day 2 of the ResoFEST 2024, the largest junior college fest in the twin cities, hosted by Resonance – Hyderabad Centre, experts in JEE (Mains & Advanced) & other Engineering, Medical, Commerce, Law entrance examinations; today at Gachibowli Stadium. Over 5,000 students from Resonance campuses across Hyderabad joined the event.

    Students took a break from their rigorous studies to present a vibrant cultural showcase, filling the stadium with high energy and a festive spirit. Decide your path and keep working honestly. Success is waiting for you on whichever path you take. Students should get adequate sleep, exercise and study by making a time table.

    Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said this during an interaction with students at Allen Career Institute Kota. In this interaction held at Allen Satyarth Campus in Jawahar Nagar, he told the students about religion, spirituality and its scientific aspects. Allen Director Rajesh Maheshwari and Dr. Naveen Maheshwari were also present in the program. He said that Kota is the land of education and I feel very good to be among the students. It seems like my old days have returned. I am feeling energy here.

    Whenever you are disappointed, look at politicians and learn
    While teaching the students, Dr. Yadav said that I am myself an example. I was selected in the pre-medical test. I got admission in Indore Medical College but I did B.Sc., then chose the field of politics. I worked very hard. Today I am in front of all of you as the Chief Minister. Whichever path of life you follow, keep confidence, success is waiting for you there. Whenever you feel that you have failed, do not get disappointed, look at a political person. There are so many ups and downs in his life.
    He said that Abraham Lincoln lost so many elections in his life, but when he won, he became the President. Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not contest any election till the age of 51, and when he contested, he became the Chief Minister; now when he contested the MP election, he became the Prime Minister. No one can tell which opportunity is waiting for you at what age. Yes, we should keep trying. Keep working hard continuously to achieve our goal. Whether it is medical entrance exam or engineering entrance exam, challenges are everywhere but we have to strive for success with full honesty.

    Should become a student like Lord Krishna

    Dr. Yadav said that students study science, so they should also be aware of the scientific view of planets and stars. He talked about becoming a student like Shri Krishna, who after a long gap in education gave Geeta sermons in the war of Mahabharata, which contains the essence of all the Vedas. If the student is learning with full dedication, then whatever he learns, will stay with him for life. He said that friends should also be like Krishna and Sudama, who have trust. They met after several years but stayed together with unwavering trust in each other.

    Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also interacted with the students of Madhya Pradesh present in the program. He told about the agreements being made between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh regarding tourism development. Earlier, the students of Allen welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by garlanding him with a big garland. Energy Minister of Rajasthan Hiralal Nagar, MLA Sandeep Sharma were also present in the program. Director Rajesh Maheshwari and Dr. Naveen Maheshwari expressed their gratitude by presenting a picture of Lord Ramlala to the Chief Minister.

    Festival of Australia Highlights Excellence in Education and Premium F&B Products in MumbaiMumbai, 15th November 2024: The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) organised first-of-its-kind 4-city showcase titled “Festival of Australia” in Mumbai that brought together Australia’s top-quality institutions, universities, retail and other trade partners on a single platform and showcased Australia’s premium F&B products to Indian consumers.

    After Mumbai, Austrade will hold the festival in Hyderabad (16 November), Bengaluru (18 November) and Kochi (20 November).

    The showcase in Mumbai provided an opportunity for Indian students and parents to engage directly with representatives from Australian universities and discuss course offerings that will help them achieve their career and learning goals.

    As a part of the showcase, the Indian students attended a masterclass on “Not-so-natural disasters and how to prevent them” presented by Prof David Sanderson, Inaugural Judith Neilson Chair of Architecture, University of New South Wales.

    The showcase also featured a panel discussion with senior representatives from Indian schools, Australian Universities and industry partners to understand what prospective students really want from a foreign university to make their decision better to study abroad.

    The Festival of Australia featured an Australian Food Pavilion showcasing Australia’s finest offerings ranging from honey, nutrition bars, sauces, cheese, pastas, seafood, lamb meat and other exceptional produce.

    Austrade has collaborated with Jio Mart to set up an ‘Australia Pavilion’ on their e-commerce platform and a Mumbai based retailer Food Square to showcase a range of Australian products at the Festival of Australia event.

    The Guests at the Festival of Australia got an opportunity to taste dishes prepared using premium Australian ingredients during the live cooking demonstrations.

Additionally, their environmental consciousness was demonstrated through the creation of an amphibious lake-cleaning hovercraft, designed to tackle Bangalore’s polluted lakes by efficiently cleaning the surface.

    The students also developed an Agri Drone to aid farmers, spraying insecticide over an acre in just 20 minutes, and created the Jal Chakran, a 45-liter water roller, easing the burden of women in drought-prone areas. These innovations highlight the school’s focus on practical, impactful learning.
