Air India Unveils AI-Driven Booking System

Air India to introduce an innovative booking feature on its digital channels based on a generative concept soon

The new user interface driven by Generative AI capabilities earns global recognition by winning the prestigious ‘Red Dot’ 2024 award in the Design Concepts category.

GURUGRAM: Air India, India’s leading global airline, has won global recognition for its generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven booking feature which once rolled out will considerably enhance the reservation experience of its customers. Air India’s innovative concept won the Red Dot award – acknowledged worldwide as one of the most prestigious recognitions for design concepts by the global design community in Singapore recently.

The ‘Design Concepts’ category acknowledges exceptional concepts or prototypes that are at the developmental stage, as well as those ready for market. Established in 2005, the award identifies new design concepts and innovations leading to the launch of great products in the future. The Air India concept is showcased now in the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore.

New digital interaction paradigms can use text and visual interactions interchangeably to speed the user’s digital journey. Air India has applied this AI-generated insight to reimagine the classic ticket booking journey to largely enhance its reservation experience. This award-winning innovation will have several benefits when rolled out for customers for ticket-booking purposes:

Minimize user effort in making bookings: Instead of navigating many pages of screens with selections to be made and data to be entered, users can just specify their intent to travel using a simple request and complete the reservation instantly.

Reduced ticket-booking time: By speeding the guest’s journey through the booking flows, the time spent by them in making reservations is drastically reduced.

Seamless booking journey from research to travel: The new interaction paradigm will eventually power Air India’s end-to-end booking experience from researching destinations to travel and post-travel support. The capability will be available for all of Air India’s digital channels to help guests switch sessions across channels seamlessly.

Tendulkar Family Unveils Cutting-Edge Sports Facility in Satara

SATARA: The Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF), in collaboration with its partner Mann Deshi Champions, inaugurated a modern sporting facility in Satara, Maharashtra this week. The event marked Sara Tendulkar’s first visit as a director of STF, showcasing her commitment to taking the foundation’s mission forward.

The new facility, inaugurated by Sachin Tendulkar, Anjali Tendulkar, and Sara Tendulkar features world-class amenities including courts for basketball and badminton, indoor wrestling and boxing areas, classrooms, administration offices, and hostels for 150 athletes. Switch Mobility unveils new low-floor electric city buses • EVreporter

Switch Mobility, a subsidiary of Ashok Leyland and part of the Hinduja Group, unveiled the new lineup of low-floor electric city buses for India, Europe, and the GCC at an event in Chennai.

SWITCH EiV12 – Low-floor electric city bus for the Indian market, features floor-mounted batteries and a scalable battery capacity of over 400+ kWh. It seats 39 passengers. Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor, Max Power: 235 kW; Continuous Power: 140 kW.

The bus has a charging port in the rear face for easy and fast charging of the charging cable. The fast charging time is less than 2 hours, and the range per charge is 314 km.

SWITCH E1 – Unveiled for Europe. Virtually flagged off for the Spanish market. Features in-wheel motors and a flat gangway layout throughout the bus. Triple-door configuration (front, centre, and rear). Capable of accommodating up to 93 passengers, including standees.

Mumbai 7th December 2024: IDFC FIRST Bank has unveiled the first-of-its-kind AI-powered holographic digital avatar of the country’s most celebrated and legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, setting a new benchmark in customer engagement and digital innovation. The Holographic Extended Reality (HXR) device, features touch capability, allowing users to interact directly with the digital avatar. Currently, customers can engage with Mr Bachchan’s digital avatar and get information on bank products and services, including Zero Fee Banking, Monthly Interest Credits, Mobile Banking, and the innovative Current Account BRAVO. The Bank will integrate additional product offerings in subsequent phases.

The HXR device has been developed in collaboration with Ikonz Studios, a new-age technology company. The content has been meticulously scripted to ensure accuracy and engagement. This revolutionary technology will redefine the banking experience for customers, offering personalized assistance and an immersive service experience. This initiative is in line with IDFC FIRST Bank’s commitment to its digital-first philosophy and innovation-led customer-centric approach.
