Kash Shaikh (CEO), Dipesh Kaura (Country Director – India & SAARC), and Scott Sampson (Global CRO), Securonix

In an exclusive interview with CRN India, Kash Shaikh, President & CEO, Securonix and Dipesh Kaura, Country Director – India & SAARC, discuss how the company is transforming cybersecurity in India and around the world. Central to Securonix’s strategy is the convergence of next-generation AI and machine learning that strengthens real-time threat detection and facilitates automated response capabilities through groundbreaking solutions such as Securonix EON, agentic AI and GenAI built on top of the Securonix platform. This differentiates their platform among the many other cybersecurity players.

Securonix relies heavily on India in its overall global strategy, with more than 70% of its employee base here. Securonix’s Centres of Excellence located in Pune and Bangalore are pivotal in fueling innovation, especially as Securonix grows beyond the top cities in India into tier-2 and tier-3 cities to cater to increasing demand for leading-edge security solutions.

Both Shaikh and Kaura emphasise the importance of building strong partnerships in India and the APAC region. They are committed to equipping their Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) partners with the tools, training, and support needed to scale operations and offer cost-effective, enterprise-grade security to businesses of all sizes.

How is Securonix using emerging technologies such as AI/ML to address changing cybersecurity threats?
Kash Shaikh: For us, machine learning and AI are central to our security strategy. By applying AI/ML to UEBA (User and Entity Behaviour Analytics), we can identify high-risk behaviour and advanced threats in real time. We use emerging technologies such as Securonix EON, which combines behavioural analytics and language-based intent analysis to provide us with greater insights into cybersecurity threats.

Moreover, we’ve implemented GenAI and Agentic AI, which allow us to automate threat detection and response, ensuring faster and more accurate decision-making.

India is a strategic growth market. What is your perception of its position in Securonix’s global strategy and innovation journey?
Kash Shaikh:
India is of high strategic importance in our growth strategy. Based here are 70% of our employees. Our Centers of Excellence in Bangalore and Pune drive much of our innovation. India also lies at the heart of our expansion in the APMEA region with over 100 customers there.
We are growing our in India, targeting tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and building stronger relationships with MSSPs to meet the increasing demand for next-gen security solutions in the region.

Securonix has made a name as a Next-Gen SIEM leader. How do you differentiate yourself in a saturated cybersecurity marketplace?
Kash Shaikh:
Our cloud-native design and first-mover position in SIEM make us unique. We’ve created a solution that’s open, extensible, and AI/ML-based, delivering better detection and fewer false positives. Our solution is organically built and doesn’t rely on a collection of acquired products, unlike many competitors. This results in tighter integration, better performance, and improved scalability.

How is your cloud-native architecture facilitating scalability and quicker threat detection for customers around the world and India?
Kash Shaikh: Our cloud-native design is elastic, scalable and high-performance enabled. For instance, our Indian banking clients handle billions of events per day, and we are capable of scaling easily, providing quicker detection and response capabilities despite huge volumes of data. This is critical for companies that must remain ahead of cyber attacks.

What is your vision for building a robust partner ecosystem in India and Asia-Pacific?
Kash Shaikh:
Our mission is to closely collaborate with MSSPs and partners to develop a sustainable ecosystem. We empower MSSPs with cutting-edge tools, training, and support to grow their business and deliver managed services. We’re also synchronising our go-to-market approach with regional partners to spur co-innovation and growth.

What are the largest cybersecurity issues Indian businesses are facing today, and how does Securonix aid in addressing them?
Dipesh Kaura:
Indian businesses struggle with issues of early threat detection, compliance, and scalability. Our platform enables organisations to detect threats early through AI-based analytics that are integrated into existing security systems. We also make it easier for Indian businesses to comply by adhering to CERT-In and other regulations.
How does Securonix use AI to augment threat detection and response for Indian businesses?
Dipesh Kaura:
AI is infused throughout all layers of our platform in a way that the platform learns and gets better with time. By automating threat detection and response, we enable organisations to decrease manual efforts and enhance operational efficiency. Our GenAI models help security teams during real-time investigation, playbook development, and decision-making, thus boosting the speed and accuracy of threat responses.

How do Securonix’s global innovations impact Indian businesses, and which solutions prove most relevant here?
Dipesh Kaura:
Our cloud-native SIEM platform and UEBA are crucial for Indian businesses looking to strengthen their cybersecurity posture. We’ve tailored these solutions to the specific needs of local enterprises, ensuring they have access to the latest global innovations while addressing regional challenges like compliance and scalability.

How does Securonix’s MSSP model assist Indian businesses in scaling their cybersecurity operations?
Dipesh Kaura:
The MSSP model is a game-changer for most Indian businesses. It allows them to leverage enterprise-grade security without having to spend a lot on infrastructure. Our platform enables MSSPs to provide scalable and affordable services, making cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes.

How are you supporting and enabling your MSSP and channel partner ecosystem?Scott Sampson: We have a robust partner-first strategy backed by structured programmes — including deal registration, sales tools, and joint marketing. We offer deep technical enablement, ongoing certifications, and a dedicated Partner Success Team.

We’re also simplifying how partners manage multiple customers with our multi-tenant, cloud-native platform, making it easy for them to onboard clients, manage alerts, and automate workflows. In return, they’re able to deliver measurable outcomes and build profitable practices around our platform.

Dipesh Kaura: In India, we’re investing in regional enablement hubs, offering training in local languages and supporting go-to-market efforts tailored to regional needs. Our goal is to ensure that partners — whether based in metros or tier-2 cities — can deliver enterprise-grade cybersecurity services with confidence.

What are Securonix’s top expansion strategies for the Indian market, and how do you intend to expand your partner base here?
Dipesh Kaura:
We’re emphasizing increasing our footprint in tier-2 and tier-3 cities and scaling up our partner ecosystem. By offering localised training and support, we’re enabling partners to deliver world-class solutions while increasing our footprint in emerging markets in India.
