Summit Hotels and Resorts has named Deepak Bothra as its Corporate General Manager to bolster operational leadership while expanding into the Eastern Himalayas.
With nearly 30 years in the hospitality sector, Bothra offers extensive knowledge in hotel operations, pre‑opening projects, quality assurance, and revenue optimisation.
Throughout his career he has served senior positions with prominent international and regional hotel chains, playing a pivotal role in the successful launch and revitalisation of numerous properties.
In his new capacity, Bothra will direct operational strategy, uphold service standards, and drive performance improvements across Summit’s expanding portfolio. He will concentrate on raising quality benchmarks, refining processes, and maintaining uniformity across hotels as the brand extends its footprint in Sikkim, Darjeeling and the broader Northeast.
Sumit Mitruka, CEO of Summit Hotels and Resorts, remarked, “Bothra combines deep operational insight with a focus on quality. As we grow our presence throughout the Northeast, reinforcing internal systems and service excellence is essential. His track record in establishing and enhancing hotel operations will be instrumental in achieving consistent, long‑term success across our properties.”
