In November, the Nifty 50 and Nifty Midcap 150 indices outperformed other market indicators, registering growth of 1.87% and 1.59%, respectively.

The Nifty 50 sustained strong momentum with returns of 7.27% over three months, 5.87% over six months, and 8.59% annually.

Meanwhile, the Nifty Midcap 150 demonstrated consistent growth, posting gains of 7.93% (3 months), 6.01% (6 months), and 7.12% (1 year), according to Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund.

Broader market indices remained positive with the Nifty 500 rising 0.94% last month. While large and midcap stocks advanced 1-2%, smallcaps saw corrections of 1-3%.

The Nifty 500 maintained upward momentum with 6.55% (3 months), 4.96% (6 months), and 5.94% (1 year) returns.

The Nifty Smallcap 250 Index declined 3.36% in November but showed modest three-month growth of 1.37%. Longer-term performance remained muted, slipping 0.60% (6 months) and 5.55% (1 year).

The Nifty Microcap 250 Index mirrored this volatility, falling 2.83% during the month.

Despite a marginal 0.98% dip in November, the Nifty Next 50 Index maintained mid-term gains of 5.16% (3 months) and 3.56% (6 months), though declining 2.25% annually.

Sector performances varied in November, with IT (+4.74%), Auto (+3.60%), Banking (+3.42%), and Healthcare (+2.30%) leading gains.

Annual sector performance was led by Defence (+19.43%), followed by Auto (+18.85%), Banking (+14.79%), and Metals (+13.94%). Healthcare grew moderately at 6.40%.

Realty remained under pressure, declining 4.69% in November and 11.47% annually. The month saw broader sector corrections of 1-4%, reflecting market adjustments and profit-taking after previous rallies.
