  • It ran alongside the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress 2026, where Bihar participated as a partner state.
  • The gathering served as an added forum linking Bihar’s investment appeal directly to its overseas diaspora.

The gathering was arranged solely by IPF UAE volunteers under the IPF Bihar Council and took place alongside the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress 2026, where Bihar’s government participated as a partner to highlight the state’s investment opportunities for global investors. This IPF event served as an additional forum to directly link Bihar’s investment appeal with its overseas diaspora.

In his welcome address, Shri R. K. Mahto, Convenor of the IPF Bihar Council, reflected on Bihar’s deep cultural legacy and its evolution from historic contributions to India to the new prospects now unfolding in the state. He stressed the significance of reconnecting Bihar with its worldwide diaspora and turning that link into tangible collaborations.

Shri Jitendra Vaidya, President of IPF UAE, gave the opening remarks, explaining IPF’s mission, its projects and the positive change it brings to the community. He also shared his pre‑ministerial, long‑time personal connection with Sushri Shreyasi Singh, which added a personal touch to the evening.

The evening’s centerpiece was a candid and lively speech by Sushri Shreyasi Singh. She recounted her personal story, family roots and the principles that guided both her sporting and political path. She talked about honoring her father’s dream of sporting greatness, the encouragement of her mother, her successes in competitive athletics, championing women’s empowerment and the mentors who shaped her public service. She also presented her roadmap for Bihar, centred on industrial growth, attracting investment, job creation, sporting excellence and opening doors for younger generations.

Shri Kundan Kumar, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Industries for Bihar, reinforced the minister’s outlook by presenting a snapshot of the state’s economic and infrastructural evolution. He detailed advances in energy, manufacturing, agriculture and agri‑technology, construction, road networks, airports and industrial facilities, offering diaspora attendees a clear view of Bihar’s new investment landscape.

The event’s timing was especially noteworthy, coming after Bihar’s strong showing at the AIM Congress 2026, where it showcased its investment appeal, upgraded infrastructure, better connectivity, skilled workforce and sector‑specific chances. Moreover, the Bihar government inked an MoU with AIM Global Foundation to develop a specialized food‑processing zone in the state, reinforcing the growing focus on investment and industrial expansion.

Naveen Bharadwaj, Convenor of IPF YUVA, hosted the evening, infusing it with dynamism and smooth flow. He steered conversations on topics of shared interest between the Bihar government and the diaspora and laid out ten pivotal points that illustrate Bihar’s transformation over the past several decades.

Distinguished attendees included Shri Mukul Kumar Gupta, IAS, Director of Industries for Bihar, and Shri B. G. Krishnan, Consul for Economic, Trade and Commerce at the Consulate General of India in Dubai, along with other senior officials, entrepreneurs, professionals and members of the Bihar community residing in the UAE.

The night ended with closing comments from Shri Rajeev Rajput Ranjan, National General Secretary of IPF UAE, who encapsulated the main topics discussed — Bihar’s cultural legacy and its modern evolution, investment, entrepreneurship, sports, women’s empowerment and the diaspora’s contribution to India’s progress. The event was organised by the IPF Bihar Council’s executive team comprising Shri Hemant Singh, Amrita Singh, Vikas Singh, Rajnish Sinha, Om Prakash and Atul, under the mentorship of Shri Rakesh Bohra Ji, Vice President of IPF and the Central Team.

The meet‑and‑greet demonstrated how diaspora gatherings can transcend formalities to foster substantive dialogue on investment, knowledge sharing, collaboration and progress. For both the IPF Bihar Council and IPF UAE, this event represented another stride in tightening Bihar’s ties with its worldwide community and converting the state’s expanding opportunities into real collaborations and results.
