Stock Market Next Week: Key Economic Signals
2 min read

Mumbai, Jan 4: The Indian stock market is expected to stay active in the coming sessions as investors assess a combination of domestic economic signals and global developments.
With the Q3 earnings season approaching, market sentiment will be guided by key data releases, geopolitical developments, and trends in commodities and currencies.
Commenting on Nifty technical outlook, an analyst noted: “On the upside, immediate resistance is placed at 26,400, followed by 26,500 and 26,600, while support levels stand at 26,200 and 26,100.”
“A deeper breakdown below 26,000 could trigger additional downward pressure,” the analyst cautioned.
Domestically, investors will focus on final readings of the HSBC Services and Composite PMI for insights into service sector activity.
Market participants will also monitor India’s GDP growth data, bank loan and deposit growth statistics, and foreign exchange reserves to gauge credit demand and economic liquidity.
International factors remain significant amid reports of US military action in Venezuela, adding uncertainty to global markets.
Attention will also turn to crucial US economic data, particularly non-farm payrolls and unemployment figures, which could influence expectations about the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decisions.
Commodity markets are showing increased activity, with gold and silver prices rallying due to global demand spikes and geopolitical tensions.
The rupee’s performance against the dollar will be closely watched after breaching the 90 mark, influenced by macroeconomic headwinds and dollar strength.
