Pune witnessed a unique event where a new Guinness World Records achievement was created for the ‘Largest Audience at a Campfire Storytelling’ event. The atmosphere at the Kharadi campus of Dhole Patil Education Society was electric, with a large gathering of students and parents coming together to listen to historical stories about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

A total of 4,623 individuals participated in the event, which featured a specially created campfire and storytelling session. The event was adjudicated by Pravin Patel, a Senior Guinness World Records adjudicator from London, who handed over the official Guinness World Records certificate to Mr. Sagar Dhole Patil, Chairman of the Dhole Patil Education Society, after the successful attempt.

The event was a huge success, with the audience being regaled with stories of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s bravery and intelligence. Noted filmmaker Digpal Lanjekar narrated the stories, which were related to the 12 forts that were recently inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites under the collective name of ‘Maratha Military Landscape’.

Speaking about the event, Sagar Dhole Patil said, “The idea of campfire storytelling was conceived to take the matter of pride related to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s forts closer to the students through an interesting yet traditional format of storytelling.” He added, “We decided to attempt an all-new Guinness World Records title, and I am happy to inform you that we successfully achieved the desired outcome.”

This is the third successful Guinness World Records achievement by Dhole Patil Education Society within a short span of six months. The previous records include the most prosthetic limbs fitted in 8 hours and the most people performing diya rotations (Aarti) simultaneously during the recently held Ganesh Festival.
