Tiger Triumph- 24: India, USA to participate in bilateral tri-service training exercise
2 min readIndia and the USA will participate in a bilateral tri-service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise named Tiger Triumph – 24, from March 18 to 31, officers stated on Monday.
The exercise is scheduled on the Eastern Seaboard.
“Indian Navy Ships with integral helicopters and touchdown crafts embarked, Indian Navy plane, Indian Army personnel and automobiles and Indian Air Force plane and helicopters together with the Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT) could be collaborating in the exercise,” learn an official assertion.
The US could be represented by US Navy Ships with embarked troops of the US Marine Corps and US Army.
What is the intention of the exercise?
The exercise is aimed toward growing interoperability for conducting HADR operations and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to allow fast and clean coordination between forces of each nations, the Indian authorities stated in a press release.
The Harbour Phase is scheduled from 18 to 25 Mar, 2024. Personnel from each navies would participate in Training Visits, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges, Sports Events and Social interactions.
On completion of the Harbour Phase, the ships, with the troops embarked, would sail for the Sea Phase and undertake Maritime, Amphibious and HADR operations in accordance with injected conditions.
