Q2FY26: HDFC Bank’s deposits and gross advances up 12.1% and 9.9%, respectively
1 min readHDFC Bank recorded year-on-year growth in deposits and gross advances of 12.1% and 9.9% respectively for the quarter ending September 30, 2025, according to provisional business figures released by the bank.
As of September 30, 2025, deposits reached ₹28,01,500 crore (up from ₹25,00,100 crore in September 2024), while gross advances stood at ₹27,69,000 crore (versus ₹25,19,000 crore a year earlier), per regulatory disclosures from India’s largest private lender.
The bank’s period-end advances under management – calculated by adjusting for inter-bank participation certificates, bills rediscounted, and securitization/assignment – grew 8.9% to ₹28,69,000 crore compared to ₹26,33,400 crore in September 2024.
Within total deposits, current and savings account (CASA) balances grew 7.4% year-over-year to ₹9,49,000 crore, while time deposits surged 14.6% to ₹18,52,500 crore.
CASA’s contribution to total deposits dipped to 33.87% in September 2025 from 35.34% in the year-ago period.
