Sundaram Home Finance to expand its emerging business segment to Telangana

Sundaram Home Finance, a Sundaram Finance Ltd subsidiary, has announced expansion plans to Telangana for its Emerging Business segment, including small business loans and affordable housing financing.
The company launched this segment in October 2022 and has established over 50 branches, primarily in Tamil Nadu. The organization is now extending operations beyond Tamil Nadu, according to an official statement.
“Small business owners in Tier 3 and 4 towns of Telangana are poised for expansion, creating significant lending opportunities in our small-ticket loans division. We also anticipate robust demand in affordable housing across Telangana’s smaller towns,” stated Managing Director D Lakshminarayanan.
Regarding Telangana operations, Lakshminarayanan added: “During the initial phase, we plan to open approximately 10 Emerging Business branches in the state with projected disbursements of ₹120-150 crore over the next year.”
Growth Strategy
“Having secured strong market presence in Tamil Nadu over three years, we’re now focusing on Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana to propel our Emerging Business growth,” the MD explained.
The Emerging Business segment recorded disbursements worth ₹229 crore during the first half of the current fiscal year, reflecting threefold year-over-year growth according to company reports.
