TATA AIG ties up with Equitas Small Finance Bank for insurance distribution
2 min readTATA AIG General Insurance Company Ltd has formed a bancassurance alliance with Equitas Small Finance Bank to widen insurance coverage in urban and semi-urban regions across India. Under the agreement, finalized on September 29, Equitas customers will gain access to TATA AIG’s non-life insurance offerings through the bank’s nationwide branches and digital channels.
The partnership will provide motor, health, travel, personal accident, and other general insurance solutions to Equitas account holders, with special emphasis on under-served communities in tier II and III markets. The initiative aims to enhance financial security for families and small businesses in regions driving economic growth.
Saurabh Maini, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Consumer Business at TATA AIG, emphasized the partnership’s role in democratizing insurance access for vulnerable populations through tailored solutions. Murali Vaidyanathan, Senior President of Liabilities, Wealth Management, and Digital Banking at Equitas, highlighted the synergy between the bank’s customer-centric approach and TATA AIG’s product innovation.
