Bank of Maharashtra Q1 results: Profit jumps 27% to ₹2,020 cr

Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) announced a 27% increase in net profit, reaching ₹2,020 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
The Pune-based lender had recorded a net profit of ₹1,593 crore in the same period last year.
Total income for the quarter rose to ₹9,063 crore, up from ₹7,879 crore a year earlier, according to a regulatory filing by the state-owned bank.
Interest income rose to ₹8,037 crore, up from ₹7,054 crore in the June quarter of FY26.
Asset quality improved, with gross non‑performing assets falling to 1.45% of gross advances at the end of the June quarter FY27, down from 1.74% a year earlier.
Net NPAs, or bad loans, likewise slipped to 0.13%, compared with 0.18% a year ago.
The capital adequacy ratio eased to 18.64%, down from 20.06% in the comparable quarter of FY24.
