Karur Vysya Bank, a private sector institution expanding its footprint nationwide, has opened its 900th branch in Chennai, senior executives announced on Saturday.
Managing Director and CEO Ramesh Babu officially inaugurated the new Tondiarpet branch in the presence of Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Department Additional Secretary S Uma and senior bank representatives, according to a press release.
Babu emphasized the institution’s customer-centric approach: “For 108 years, Karur Vysya Bank has evolved with generations of clients through trusted relationships. While adopting cutting-edge technology and contemporary banking methods, we maintain our commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and community engagement.”
The bank reported significant financial growth, with total business reaching ₹2.11 lakh crore as of December 31, 2025, and a net profit of ₹690 crore for the October-December 2025 quarter.
The newly launched branch will provide a full spectrum of banking services, offering retail customers, MSMEs, and institutional clients customized financial solutions through integrated service channels.
