SBI apprentice recruitment 2026 opens for 7,150 posts across India

SBI noted that successful apprentices may earn weightage and relaxation in upcoming Junior Associate recruitment, contingent on satisfactory performance and completion of the required skill evaluation and certification.

The State Bank of India plans to hire 7,150 graduates as apprentices in its branches nationwide for a one‑year term.

According to SBI’s recruitment notice, candidates must be aged between 20 and 28 years as of 1 April 2026. This upper age limit applies to unreserved and EWS applicants, with age‑relaxation provisions as per Government of India rules.

Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000

During the one‑year apprenticeship, participants will receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month, with no extra allowances or benefits. Upon successful completion, SBI will grant weightage and age relaxation in future Junior Associate recruitment, in line with its policy, provided the apprentices maintain satisfactory conduct and performance throughout the training.

To finish the apprenticeship, candidates must pass the skill‑evaluation (trade) test and earn the joint National Apprenticeship Certificate awarded by SBI together with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) or the BFSI Sector Skill Council.

Application window closes on June 8

Online applications opened on 19 May 2026 and will remain open until 8 June 2026. A written test is tentatively scheduled for July 2026.
