A special workshop for Self Help Group (SHG) women from Saharanpur was organized at the CDO Auditorium on December 23, 2025. Participants showcased their products and discussed their achievements, challenges, and hopes for growth. The session emphasized improving product quality, packaging, branding, and market accessibility.
Chief Development Officer Shri Sumit Mahajan (IAS) has prioritized empowering SHGs and announced a six-month development campaign to upgrade their offerings and enhance income opportunities. The initiative will provide training, expert mentorship, packaging assistance, pricing strategies, and market connections to elevate their products and expand their reach.
Addressing attendees, Shri Mahajan emphasized the administration’s commitment to transforming SHG efforts into sustainable livelihoods. He praised the women’s dedication and promised structured support in the coming months to accelerate their progress.
To execute this vision, the district administration has partnered with SkillingYou, a skilling and development organization. Representatives from SkillingYou, including CEO Praveen Kumar Rajbhar and CA Arjun Mittal, participated in the event, evaluating SHG products and collaborating on a comprehensive growth strategy. This plan will focus on refining products, modernizing packaging, strengthening branding, building digital visibility, and ensuring ongoing marketing support.
Praveen Kumar Rajbhar highlighted the inherent potential of Saharanpur’s SHG products, noting that strategic positioning and improved packaging could unlock broader markets. He reiterated SkillingYou’s commitment to working alongside the administration on a six-month roadmap for SHG advancement.
Program Director Shri Pranay coordinated the event, underscoring his mission to empower SHG women through sustained guidance, aiming for improved living standards and stable incomes.
This initiative aims to elevate livelihoods, enhance product quality, and create new pathways for women entrepreneurs across Saharanpur.
