OnFinance AI, a generative AI company specializing in banking and financial services, has raised $4.2 million in its Pre-Series A funding. Peak XV’s Surge spearheaded the investment, with contributions from Shyamal Hitesh Anadkat, Groww Founders’ Fund, Razorpay founders’ fund MarsShot VC, Climber Capital, and returning backers including Indian Angel Network and Silverneedle Ventures.
This capital injection follows a $1.05 million seed round previously led by Haystack. The company intends to utilize these funds to enhance its custom AI frameworks for financial institutions, boost research and development efforts, recruit engineering and AI specialists, and pursue global expansion.
Established in 2023 by siblings Anuj and Priyesh Srivastava, the startup creates regulatory-compliant AI solutions for financial risk management and audit automation. Its ComplianceOS platform operates on NeoGPT—a specialized language model trained on over 300 million regulatory tokens from Indian financial authorities—integrating 70+ AI agents to help institutions interpret regulations and automate compliance workflows.
The company also offers InvestigativeOS for risk mitigation across multiple domains including cybersecurity protocols, KYC verification, vendor assessments, and market surveillance for unethical trading practices. By merging financial expertise with advanced AI, OnFinance AI aims to transform manual compliance processes into automated systems, enabling financial organizations to minimize operational risks while increasing efficiency.
