Former Flipkart executive’s startup FirstClub raises $55 Mn led by Peak XV and Sofina

FirstClub, a quick‑commerce startup, secured $55 million (about ₹512 crore) in a Series B funding round led by Peak XV Partners and Sofina, with existing backers Accel, RTP Global and Paramark Ventures also participating.
The proceeds will be used to enter new cities, deepen its quality‑focused grocery offering, introduce new categories such as beauty & personal care, home essentials and pet care, and bolster its technology and supply‑chain infrastructure.
Founded by former Flipkart executive Ayyappan R, FirstClub operates a curated grocery platform that emphasizes product quality. The company reports surpassing one million orders within its first year of operation.
This round follows an $23 million Series A raised eight months earlier, led by Accel and RTP Global with participation from Blume Founders Fund, 2am VC, Paramark Ventures and Aditya Birla Ventures. Prior to that, FirstClub closed an $8 million seed round in December 2024 backed by Accel and RTP Global.
The startup follows a curated assortment model, subjecting fresh produce and daily staples to rigorous quality checks — fruits and vegetables are inspected before listing, while milk, atta, paneer and dals undergo laboratory testing.
Including the latest financing, FirstClub has raised a total of $86 million to date.
Ayyappan said the venture prioritises product quality and consumer trust over pure delivery speed, noting that more than 200 ingredients have been excluded from its catalogue and that quality assessments and lab tests are performed across various grocery categories.
