Funding Update
Reed Jobs, son of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, has secured more than $200 million for a second investment fund at his healthcare-focused firm, Yosemite, which targets advancements in cancer research.
Based in San Francisco, Yosemite manages over $1 billion in assets and invests in companies pioneering early cancer detection tools, precision therapies, and monitoring systems for diverse cancer types. The firm’s latest fund aims to reach $350 million and has already attracted commitments from organizations such as biotech leader Amgen, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, MIT, and renowned venture capitalist John Doerr.
Jobs established Yosemite in 2023 after gaining experience at Emerson Collective, where he previously supported biotechnology and AI-driven drug discovery startups. Beyond direct investments, Yosemite funds research grants to fuel innovation in cancer science, addressing gaps created by reduced government funding.
At 34, Jobs has emphasized his commitment to accelerating transformative cancer treatments within his lifetime.
