The rental platform for furniture and appliances, Rentomojo, has raised Rs 376.07 crore from anchor investors just before the launch of its initial public offering (IPO).

The public offering by Rentomojo starts accepting subscriptions today, September 9, and concludes on September 11.

The Bengaluru-based firm allocated 93.08 lakh equity shares to anchor investors at Rs 404 each, which marks the upper limit of the IPO price band. At this rate, Rentomojo is valued at approximately Rs 4,200 crore.

Domestic mutual funds, insurance companies, and pension funds participated in the anchor round. Key investors included Kotak ELSS Tax Saver Fund, ICICI Prudential Quality Fund, Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio, BlackRock Global Funds – India Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, Mirae Asset Great Consumer Fund, Bandhan Innovation Fund, HSBC Mutual Fund, Invesco India, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, and JM Financial Mutual Fund.

Indian mutual funds acquired 60,41,249 shares, making up 64.90% of the anchor allotment through 30 schemes across 16 funds, totaling Rs 244.07 crore. Life insurance companies and pension funds received 12.62 lakh shares, representing 13.56% of the anchor portion and valued at Rs 51 crore.

Per its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP), Rentomojo intends to raise Rs 1,255.6 crore via the IPO, comprising a fresh issue of Rs 150 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 2.73 crore shares worth Rs 1,105.6 crore.

The Offer for Sale includes shares being divested by existing investors Accel India, Edelweiss, Chiratae Ventures, ValueQuest, Madison India, and GMO, along with founder Geetansh Bamania.

Motilal Oswal, Axis Capital, and IIFL Capital Services are acting as the book-running lead managers.

Previously, Entrackr reported that several early Rentomojo investors are set to generate significant returns from the IPO, with some early supporters potentially realizing up to 152X returns on their Offer for Sale.

The firm’s revenue from operations grew by 45.5% year-on-year to Rs 387 crore in FY26, while its post-tax profit surged by 142% to Rs 104.2 crore, up from Rs 43.1 crore in FY25.
