Resplendent Ceylon, Dilmah Tea’s luxury hospitality division, has appointed Asela Jayaweera as General Manager of Cape Weligama and Sajith Grero as General Manager of Ceylon Tea Trails.
Bringing two decades of leadership expertise from renowned luxury brands like The Ritz-Carlton and InterContinental, Asela Jayaweera will focus on enhancing Cape Weligama’s distinction as Sri Lanka’s leading clifftop retreat through operational refinement and elevated guest experiences.
Sajith Grero arrives at Ceylon Tea Trails with 17 years of experience managing luxury properties in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. His stewardship will concentrate on preserving the resort’s unique identity as the world’s pioneering tea bungalow destination while enriching its heritage-based offerings.
These appointments follow the recent naming of Indika Fernando as General Manager of Wild Coast Tented Lodge, signaling a refreshed leadership phase for Resplendent Ceylon. United under the Relais & Châteaux standard, the team reinforces Dilmah Tea’s original vision of blending sustainable practices with world-class hospitality rooted in Sri Lankan culture.
