The Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group), a major FMCG conglomerate and diversified business house, revealed a new upscale hospitality venture in collaboration with Marriott International under the W Hotels banner. Expected to debut in the latter half of 2027, the 200‑room property will rise near Indira Gandhi International Airport, adjacent to Delhi Aerocity, backed by an estimated outlay of ₹400 crore.
This initiative introduces W Hotels to the Delhi NCR region and represents the brand’s second Indian outpost after Goa. Conceived as a modern, lifestyle‑focused luxury retreat, the hotel will fuse striking design, engaging experiences and vibrant social areas, aimed at today’s leisure and business guests.
“India’s hospitality sector is experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by a strong rise in domestic travel and a notable gap between demand and supply in the premium tier. With only about 0.27 hotel keys per 1,000 inhabitants versus the global average of 2.2, the country’s hotel penetration stands at roughly one‑tenth of the worldwide level. As leading international brands expand rapidly across India, New Delhi continues to serve as the essential gateway to high‑value diplomatic and corporate circles that shape a brand’s reputation and authority in the subcontinent. Introducing Marriott International’s W Hotels underscores our steadfast commitment to hospitality and represents a key milestone in DS Group’s growth plan, in line with our long‑term goal of delivering unmatched guest experiences.”
“This project marks a significant advance for the DS Group as we broaden our hospitality footprint toward a target of 10–12 hotels by FY29. By bringing the iconic W Hotels brand to Delhi NCR, we are establishing a new benchmark for design‑led luxury in one of India’s most competitive markets. The Aerocity precinct continues to show exceptional demand and RevPAR growth, making it the perfect site for a globally recognised brand that offers unbeatable connectivity and long‑term value for Delhi NCR. This partnership highlights our dedication to shaping the future of Indian hospitality through curated, high‑impact experiences for the modern global traveller.”
“As Marriott International expands its hospitality portfolio in India to meet the evolving needs of guests and owners, the signing of our first W Hotels in Delhi NCR will introduce a bold new expression of luxury to this vibrant, high‑energy market. We are pleased to partner with the Dharampal Satyapal Group, whose legacy of excellence and forward‑looking approach to premium, experience‑led hospitality aligns seamlessly with Marriott International’s promise of differentiated, high‑quality hospitality grounded in strong partnerships and a shared vision for long‑term value creation.”
Rooted in the W Hotels ethos of celebrating individuality, sparking curiosity, and broadening horizons, the property is set to challenge traditional hospitality. By merging avant‑garde, design‑focused settings with high‑energy social hubs such as the W Lounge, the hotel will evolve from a simple place to stay into a lively, music‑infused lifestyle destination. This spirit of innovation and immersive guest engagement complements the DS Group’s tradition of excellence and its strategic emphasis on delivering premium, market‑leading experiences.
DS Group has laid out an ambitious hospitality growth plan, earmarking ₹1,000 crore for expansion over the coming years and aiming to double its room inventory by 2029. The company’s current hospitality portfolio comprises Namah Nainital, Namah Jim Corbett, Radisson Blu Guwahati, InterContinental Jaipur, Renaissance Bengaluru, and Holiday Inn Express Kolkata.
