IHG Hotels & Resorts has unveiled voco Amritsar, introducing its upscale voco brand to Punjab for the first time. The property serves as a modern lodging choice for leisure, spiritual, and business visitors.
Situated near major sites like the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Wagah Border, the hotel provides easy reach to Amritsar’s cultural and historic highlights, plus convenient links to Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport.
Manish Kumar Yadav, General Manager of voco Amritsar, commented, “We designed voco Amritsar to blend comfort with a genuine sense of place, allowing guests to relax while staying immersed in the city’s spiritual and cultural rhythm. This launch is a proud achievement for our team, whose dedication, effort, and meticulous attention have brought the voco ethos to Amritsar, ensuring every guest feels warmly welcomed from arrival.”
voco Amritsar showcases modern interiors infused with subtle local touches, delivering a cozy, residential‑style atmosphere. Neutral hues, layered lighting, and textured finishes shape the communal areas, whereas rooms and suites provide spacious layouts, practical workspaces, and soothing colour schemes. The 139‑room property offers Standard, Premium, Suite, and unique Duplex accommodations featuring a two‑level design. Sustainability is emphasized by bedding crafted from recycled materials, such as duvets and pillows made from reclaimed plastic.
Dining options at the hotel consist of Saffron, an all‑day venue serving international and regional dishes; The Gallery, ideal for tea and light snacks; and Plum Lounge, a rooftop spot for cocktails and bar bites. Wellness amenities feature Tattva Spa, a fitness centre, and an outdoor pool.
For meetings and events, the property provides seven indoor venues and two outdoor areas. The 8,075 sq ft Blossom Ballroom serves as the main space, complemented by Imperial Hall and Legacy Hall, plus smaller rooms like Colonial Court Room, Magnolia Hall, Maple Chamber, and Pearl Chamber. Outdoor settings such as Harmony Lawn and The Pavilion accommodate larger functions.
