RIU Hotels and Resorts, the Spain-headquartered international hospitality group, is set to participate in OTM Mumbai 2026, scheduled to be held from February 5 to 7, 2026.

RIU Hotels and Resorts currently operates 98 hotels across 21 countries. Ranked as the world’s 40th largest hotel chain, RIU is among the most popular hospitality brands in the Caribbean and is the fourth-largest hotel group in Spain by number of rooms.

Ahead of OTM Mumbai 2026, RIU Hotels and Resorts hosted an exclusive networking evening for select travel trade partners and media at La Panthera. The event was hosted by Petra Gauthey, Director of Business Development – Asia, and Stuti Sharma, Business Development Manager – India.

Speaking on RIU’s India strategy, Gauthey stated: “India is a strategically important and growing source market for RIU Resorts, where the brand has been actively present for the past eight years. Our approach in India focuses on building sustainable, long-term demand through clear brand positioning and close collaboration with the travel trade.”

She highlighted the brand’s priority markets for Indian travellers: “Our key focus destinations include Mauritius, Maldives and Sri Lanka, which continue to perform well due to strong air connectivity, destination familiarity, and their leisure appeal.”

Emphasizing the relevance of RIU’s offerings, Gauthey added: “The all-inclusive resort concept resonates strongly with the Indian market, providing transparent pricing, consistent service standards, and comprehensive dining, entertainment, and leisure facilities within our properties.”

Regarding participation in OTM Mumbai 2026, she noted: “This engagement allows us to strengthen relationships with trade partners, enhance brand understanding, and align expectations around our all-inclusive model. It reaffirms our long-term commitment to the Indian market and supports structured growth across the Indian Ocean region.”
