Five Rajasthan Universities Partner with IMA to Strengthen Career Readiness and Professional Skills in Finance

July 01: IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), the global network of accountants and finance professionals, has signed MoUs with five top higher‑education institutions in Rajasthan to boost career readiness and professional capabilities for students aiming for accounting and finance careers.
The agreements were made with Banasthali Vidyapith, Manipal University Jaipur, Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research University, St. Xavier’s College Jaipur, and JECRC University. They seek to close the gap between classroom theory and the changing demands of industry by raising awareness of internationally recognised accounting and finance qualifications and giving students practical, future‑focused skills.
These collaborations align with the launch of the IMA Jaipur Chapter – IMA’s 11th professional chapter in India. The new chapter will act as a regional hub for finance and accounting professionals, students, educators and industry stakeholders, offering professional development programmes, networking events, knowledge‑sharing activities and industry‑centred gatherings. Through the chapter, IMA India intends to strengthen the professional community in Rajasthan and grant local access to global resources, learning pathways and market insights.
Under the MoUs, each of the five partner institutions will work with IMA India to enrich their academic curricula with globally recognised professional education routes. Students will obtain information, resources and learning opportunities linked to IMA’s internationally recognised certifications, namely the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant), CSCA® (Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis) and FMAA™ (Financial and Managerial Accounting Associate) credentials. These programmes are designed to impart practical knowledge and industry‑relevant competencies in areas such as financial planning, performance management, analytics, strategic finance and competitive analysis.
Beyond its recognised certification pathways, IMA also provides specialised micro‑credentials that help finance and accounting professionals build practical, future‑ready skills in fields such as AI readiness, data fluency, financial decision‑making, forecasting, analytics, visualisation and business decision support. These focused learning tracks complement IMA’s broader professional development ecosystem and aim to enable learners and professionals to strengthen capabilities that are directly applicable in a rapidly changing business landscape.

The collaborations will enable a variety of initiatives, including seminars, conferences, workshops, research collaborations, guest lectures and professional learning opportunities intended to deepen students’ grasp of contemporary accounting, finance and business practices. The institutions will also receive assistance in taking part in IMA’s Higher Education Endorsement Programme, which acknowledges academic programmes that effectively prepare students for professional success.
As part of the initiative, IMA India will also award up to five distinguished student scholarships each year to eligible students from the partner institutions, subject to IMA guidelines. These scholarships are meant to encourage academic excellence and support aspiring professionals in pursuing globally recognised certifications.
With the establishment of these academic partnerships and the launch of the Jaipur Chapter, IMA India continues to reinforce its commitment to advancing the accounting and finance profession in India while supporting students, educators and professionals through meaningful industry‑academia engagement.
