Kia India Unveils ‘Drive Green’ Initiative: A Bold Step Towards a Sustainable Future

The Drive Green initiative, launched by Kia India, combines technology and environmental responsibility to help users visualize their CO₂ impact and promote greener driving habits through the Kia Connect app.

MUMBAI: Kia India has introduced the ‘Kia Drive Green’ platform on the Kia Connect app, an engagement platform focused on sustainability. This initiative showcases the brand’s commitment to environmental awareness and deeper connections with electric vehicle (EV) owners.

The Drive Green feature, currently available for the Kia Carens Clavis EV and accessible through the Kia Connect app under the ‘New Services’ tab, will be rolled out to upcoming Kia EVs. The app includes a virtual tree that grows through five stages based on kilometers driven, rewarding users with five eco-badges: Green Explorer (2,500 km), Eco Champion (15,000 km), Carbon Crusher (25,000 km), Forest Guardian (50,000 km), and Planet Protector (100,000 km). The app also displays CO₂ savings, with 100 km saving about 13.2 kg of CO₂ and 1,500 km saving nearly 197.6 kg of CO₂.

Atul Sood, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, commented, “At Kia, our mobility vision is intertwined with our environmental responsibility. The Kia Drive Green initiative marks a significant step toward integrating sustainability across all touchpoints, from product innovation to customer engagement. This reflects our long-term commitment to making clean mobility a part of everyday life.”

The Drive Green initiative exemplifies Kia India’s broader green mobility vision, setting a direction for delivering value beyond vehicles and building loyalty and environmental awareness through digital experiences.
