Korea Investment Partners Leads Mn Series A For US-Based AI Firm Redrob

AI Startup Secures Major Funding to Slash Costs and Expand Multilingual AI in India
New York AI research firm Redrob has secured $10 million in Series A financing, led by Korea Investment Partners (KIP), increasing its total funding to $14 million. The seed round in 2023 raised $4 million. Other investors include KB Investment, Kiwoom Investment, Korea Development Bank Capital, Daekyo Investment, and DS & Partners. The funds will accelerate innovations in machine learning architecture aiming for a 50x reduction in operating costs, alongside developing language models for India’s 22 official languages.

End-to-End AI Solutions for Businesses and Academia
Redrob’s platform integrates AI-driven B2B services, including sales lead generation, talent recruitment, skills evaluation, and HR support. The infrastructure utilizes advanced methods like mixture-of-experts training, model distillation, and quantization. With 3 million users across 500 Indian universities, the company employs a B2C-to-B2B strategy: students access free AI tools during their education, driving familiarity and later adoption by enterprises, which lowers customer acquisition costs.

The new capital will fuel key 2026 milestones: free large language model (LLM) access for Indian universities by Q1, nationwide educational partnerships, SMB-focused enterprise suites, and multi-language support by late 2026. Kartikey Handa, COO, highlighted a mission to democratize AI infrastructure for India’s 1.4 billion citizens, emphasizing broad accessibility over niche corporate applications.

Global Ambitions Backed by Korean Investment Giant
KIP, managing over $4 billion with a portfolio spanning cloud tech, biotech, and media, views this as a strategic investment in Redrob’s global expansion. The startup operates from hubs in San Francisco, New York, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Seoul, targeting a position among the world’s top three LLM providers by 2028. Its proprietary PeopleSearch tool identifies high-intent clients from 19+ data sources to accelerate sales pipelines.

The funding coincides with surging global AI investments, positioning Redrob to bridge academic and professional AI adoption while scaling cost-effective infrastructure for emerging markets.
