HDFC Bank’s Q2 net profit jumps 10% to ₹19,610 crore
1 min readHDFC Bank announced a 10% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit, reaching ₹19,610.67 crore for the September quarter.
The bank’s standalone net profit grew 10.82% to ₹18,641.28 crore during the July-September period compared to the same quarter last year.
Total income climbed to ₹91,040 crore from ₹85,499 crore in the year-ago period, though it declined from ₹99,200 crore in the preceding June quarter.
The gross non-performing assets ratio strengthened to 1.24% as of September 30, showing improvement from 1.40% in June and 1.36% in the year-ago quarter.
Provisions rose to ₹3,500 crore from ₹2,700 crore in the previous year’s corresponding period, but were substantially lower than the ₹14,441 crore set aside in the immediate preceding quarter.
