Moxy Mumbai Andheri West has named Akshay Pethkar as its new Loss & Prevention Manager. Akshay brings a wealth of expertise, with more than 12 years of experience spanning the hospitality, aviation, and maritime security sectors.
In this capacity, Akshay will be responsible for managing the property’s security and safety frameworks. His core focus will include guest and staff protection, emergency readiness, risk mitigation, fire safety adherence, crisis management, and loss prevention. Additionally, he will be tasked with enhancing security protocols and maintaining strict compliance with operational SOPs and safety standards.
Prior to his arrival at Moxy Mumbai Andheri West, Akshay held the position of Security & Safety Manager at Vivanta, Thane, where he directed security and safety protocols. His professional background also includes over seven years at President IHCL SeleQtions, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai, where he managed security operations, loss prevention, emergency planning, and VVIP movement coordination. His diverse career is further supported by security roles at Costa Cruises and SpiceJet Ltd., providing him with a unique perspective across maritime, aviation, and hospitality environments.
Akshay earned his Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. Leveraging his extensive multi-sector security background and operational expertise, Akshay joins the Moxy Mumbai Andheri West leadership team to spearhead the property’s safety, security, and loss prevention initiatives.
