Paytm shares rise as RBI grants payment aggregator license to subsidiary

According to the company’s stock exchange disclosure, the license will enable PPSL to conduct payment aggregation business, with growth in this segment expected to reflect in the consolidated financials of the parent company.

Shares of One 97 Communications Limited, Paytm’s parent company, were trading at ₹1,290.10 on the National Stock Exchange as of 1:18 pm on Thursday, marking a 0.28% increase from the previous closing price of ₹1,286.50. The stock commenced trading at ₹1,305 and reached an intraday high of ₹1,309.10.
This movement follows the Reserve Bank of India’s issuance of a Certificate of Authorization to Paytm Payments Services Limited (PPSL), enabling it to operate as a Payment Aggregator. The approval, granted on November 26, 2025, authorizes PPSL to function under India’s Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.
As disclosed to stock exchanges, the license permits PPSL to expand its payment aggregation services, with anticipated growth in this segment reflecting in One 97 Communications’ consolidated financial results. The authorization remains contingent upon adherence to regulatory conditions.
Trading activity showed 28.37 lakh shares exchanging hands, amounting to ₹367.35 crore in traded value, with deliverable volume constituting 35.67% of total trading volume. The stock’s 52-week performance reflects a high of ₹1,353.80 recorded on November 10, 2025, and a low of ₹651.50 hit on March 11, 2025.
