State Bank of India (SBI) has received the “World’s Best Consumer Bank 2025” and “Best Bank in India 2025” awards from Global Finance, New York, during the World Bank/IMF Annual Meetings 2025.
The dual recognition underscores SBI’s leadership in global banking through innovation, financial inclusion, and customer-centric excellence. The awards highlight the bank’s ability to deliver advanced banking services to its vast customer network while driving technological advancements across India’s diverse regions.
Chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty stated, “We are honored by this acknowledgment from Global Finance, reflecting SBI’s unwavering dedication to service excellence. Serving 520 million customers and onboarding 65,000 new users daily demands continuous investment in digital transformation.”
He added, “With our ‘Digital First, Consumer First’ strategy, our flagship mobile app now supports over 100 million users, averaging 10 million active engagements daily.”
