Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Ltd. (ABHICL) revealed on Tuesday a collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to provide customized health coverage for more than 12.32 lakh CA students and 4.67 lakh CA members. The agreement also includes professionals employed by CA firms.

Key Takeaways

  • Aditya Birla Health Insurance partnered with ICAI to offer customised health coverage to over 12.32 lakh CA students and 4.67 lakh CA members.
  • The tie-up includes four distinct products tailored to different age groups and health profiles within the ICAI community.
  • Members under 35 are guided to Activ Yuva, while those over 35 without chronic conditions get Activ One Max Unlimited Care.
  • Policyholders can earn rewards through ABHICL’s Health Management Programme by hitting daily fitness goals like 10,000 steps.

The insurer has designed four distinct products suited to various segments within the ICAI community. Individuals below 35 years are guided toward Activ Yuva, a plan emphasizing wellness. Members older than 35 without chronic ailments are advised to choose Activ One Max Unlimited Care with a Durable Equipment Rider. Those with existing health issues can select Activ One VYTL, which covers seven chronic conditions from day‑one and offers an OPD‑based chronic management programme. Members transferring from another insurer receive either of the latter two options based on their health status.

Through ABHICL’s Health Management Programme, policyholders earn Active Dayz by achieving daily fitness goals such as walking 10,000 steps. Accumulating 325 Active Dayz in a policy year while keeping a healthy heart score enables them to reclaim up to 100 % of their yearly premium as HealthReturns.

Notable features include Super Credit on Activ Yuva, which increases the sum insured at each renewal irrespective of claims, and Super Reload on Activ One Max, which restores the base sum insured even after it has been completely used during the policy year. All qualifying plans also provide Claim Protect, covering non‑medical costs incurred during hospitalization.

Mayank Bathwal, CEO of ABHICL, said the partnership aims to make healthcare protection more reachable for India’s professional workforce while encouraging preventive health habits.

ABHICL, a joint venture between Aditya Birla Capital and South Africa’s Momentum Group, currently safeguards over 25 million lives across more than 5,000 cities.
