ATMs turn into FD booking counters as Suryoday SFB, SprintMoney and Hitachi join forces

Customers using the participating ATMs can now discover and start a digital fixed deposit booking journey without needing to visit a branch or log into a digital banking platform.

Suryoday Small Finance Bank (SSFB) has joined forces with fintech company SprintMoney to enable customers to book its fixed deposit products via Hitachi Payment Services’ Android‑powered Money Spot white‑label ATMs. The collaboration was unveiled on Friday, September 11, at Global Fintech Fest 2026.

Key Takeaways

  • Suryoday Small Finance Bank partnered with SprintMoney and Hitachi Payment Services to enable FD booking via ATMs.
  • The collaboration was unveiled September 11 at Global Fintech Fest 2026.
  • Customers can now book fixed deposits at participating Money Spot white-label ATMs without visiting a branch.
  • The integration combines Suryoday’s deposits, SprintMoney’s marketplace platform and Hitachi’s ATM network.

The integration brings together Suryoday’s deposit offerings, SprintMoney’s Financial Marketplace platform, and Hitachi’s ATM network in a three‑way partnership. As a result, customers using the participating ATMs can now explore and start a digital fixed deposit booking process without having to visit a branch or log into an online banking portal.

SprintMoney serves as the technological bridge that links financial institutions with their distribution channels. Meanwhile, Hitachi’s Android‑based ATM platform allows digital apps to run side‑by‑side with traditional ATM operations, ensuring the solution is technically viable.

According to Suryoday’s Managing Director and CEO, Baskar Babu Ramachandran, the partnership broadens the bank’s fixed deposit reach beyond conventional banking points and supports its financial inclusion agenda. SprintMoney’s founder, Amit Kumar, added that the platform plans to bring in more banks and regulated financial institutions in the future.

Established as a Small Finance Bank in January 2017, Suryoday Small Finance Bank currently runs 717 branches across 16 states and union territories, with a notable footprint in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha.

Availability of the product and eligibility criteria for customers are still governed by the bank’s current terms and any relevant regulatory requirements.
