Cross-border payments platform Skydo gets international payment licence in Canada

1 min read

Bengaluru’s Skydo, a cross‑border payments platform, has obtained an international payment licence from Canada.

“Obtaining our first international licence shows that Skydo is moving from an India‑centric payments provider to a multi‑nation payments operator,” said Srivatsan Sridhar, Co‑Founder and CEO of Skydo, in a statement.

With licences now in India and Canada, plus its GIFT City approval, the company is well‑placed to facilitate this corridor for trade, education, tourism, and business services, Srivatsan added.

The firm also intends to help Canadian businesses with global collections, local accounts, and supplier payments in several countries.

Movin Jain, Co‑Founder of Skydo, noted that Canada bolsters Skydo’s global presence, allows for local collections and payouts, and establishes a solid base for future growth across North America.
