Equirus Raghnall Insurance Broking, a subsidiary of the Equirus Group, aims for a 35% revenue increase this fiscal year, buoyed by sustained strength in commercial and specialty insurance lines.

“In recent years, our client base and premium volumes have grown steadily. Today we serve roughly 200 mid‑market corporations and 600 MSMEs across seven Indian states, underwriting about ₹300 crore of premium each year,” said Amit Goel, Director of Equirus Raghnall Insurance Broking, speaking to businessline.

The broker‑advisor emphasizes deepening ties with mid‑market and SME clients instead of chasing sheer scale. “Our client mix covers manufacturing, infrastructure, financial services, healthcare, logistics, and emerging areas like renewable energy and technology,” noted Goel.

“We stay cautiously optimistic for this fiscal year, projecting a 35% revenue rise. India’s insurance market remains robust, especially in commercial and specialty segments, and we anticipate our expansion to match or modestly exceed the sector’s pace,” he added.

Growth drivers for Equirus Raghnall span infrastructure, renewable energy, financial institutions, healthcare, cyber insurance, and liability coverage. The firm is also gaining momentum in employee benefits and specialized risk‑advisory offerings.

As a broker, the focus is less on market‑share grabs and more on cultivating expertise and lasting client relationships, the director said, noting ample growth potential in India’s commercial insurance space given its low penetration relative to global standards.

“Looking ahead, growth will stem from sectors where firms are paying greater attention to balance‑sheet safeguards, business‑interruption exposure, cyber threats, and shifting regulatory demands,” Goel added.
