Jio Finance Q3 consolidated PAT down marginally on higher expenses

2 min read

Jio Financial Services (JFS), backed by Mukesh Ambani, reported a consolidated Q3FY26 net profit of ₹269 crore on Thursday. This marked a slight decline from the ₹295 crore net profit recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, attributed primarily to increased expenses. The company’s Q2FY26 net profit had stood at ₹695 crore, driven largely by dividends from subsidiaries.

Total income rose to ₹901 crore in Q3FY26 compared to ₹449 crore year-on-year. Expenses surged to ₹547 crore this quarter versus ₹119 crore in Q3FY25, driven by the consolidation of Jio Payments Bank (JPB)—which wasn’t included in the prior year’s figures—alongside higher finance costs from Jio Credit’s shift to market borrowings over equity financing. Additionally, Jio Payment Solutions saw elevated processing charges due to growing transaction volumes.

The share of net income from business operations in consolidated net income climbed to 55% in Q3FY26, up from 20% in Q3FY25.

JFS’s current business lines include Jio Credit (NBFC), Jio Payments Bank, Jio Payment Solutions, Jio Insurance Broking, and Asset Management. Businesses in incubation comprise Wealth Management, Securities Broking, Reinsurance, and proposed Primary (Life & General) Insurance.

Jio Credit disbursed ₹8,615 crore in Q3FY26—a twofold year-on-year increase and 30% sequential growth. Jio Payments Bank reported total deposits (including savings, current accounts, and wallets) of ₹507 crore as of December-end, up 94% YoY. Jio Payment Solutions processed transactions worth ₹16,315 crore, rising 2.6x YoY and 20% QoQ. Meanwhile, Jio Insurance Broking facilitated ₹212 crore in premium during the quarter, a 23% YoY increase.

Hitesh Sethia, Managing Director and CEO of JFS, stated: “We are witnessing sustained momentum across all our verticals, now accelerating significantly. Concurrently, we continue investing in new businesses to ensure their long-term success. With deepening capabilities and market presence, JFS is poised to redefine India’s financial services landscape through intelligent, hyper-personalized offerings enhanced by technology and data analytics.”
