According to an RBI statement, the Board examined the present economic climate, global and domestic pressures, and potential risks to the outlook.

“The Board also looked into the Reserve Bank’s operational areas, such as the workings of its committees and the Ombudsman Scheme,” the statement noted.

Attending were Deputy Governors Swaminathan J., Dr Poonam Gupta, Shirish Chandra Murmu, Rohit Jain, alongside other board members Revathy Iyer, Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi, industrialist Anand Mahindra, and former ISRO chief Somanath Sreedhara Panicker.

Earlier that day, Governor Sanjay Malhotra visited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at the secretariat, accompanied by a few RBI officials.
